Role Overview
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Contract Administrator to work full-time as part of the ElevateX Consulting team
The role involves reviewing construction contracts, extracting key obligations, supporting contract-administration workflows, and ensuring accuracy within the platform.
This is not a general admin role.
It suits someone with strong contract administration capability, comfort working with complex documents, and an ability to follow structured legal and construction processes precisely.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Review & Data Extraction
- Review construction contracts, subcontracts, scopes of work, and special conditions
- Identify and extract key contractual obligations, including:
- Notice requirements
- Time bars
- Variations and EOT provisions
- Payment claim and certification processes
- Security, retention, and release conditions
- Enter and validate contract data accurately within the platform
Contract Administration Support
- Assist with contract-administration workflows (notices, compliance checklists, deadlines)
- Support preparation of structured compliance outputs based on contract terms
- Track critical dates and contractual triggers
Quality Control & Accuracy
- Perform quality checks on contract data and compliance outputs
- Ensure consistency across contract reviews and platform entries
- Flag ambiguities, inconsistencies, or missing information for escalation
Platform & Process Support
- Follow standard operating procedures and templates
- Assist with refinement of internal checklists and workflows
- Work closely with the legal-tech and operations team
Required Skills & Experience
Essential
- Strong contract administration skills
- Exceptional attention to detail (critical — errors have legal and commercial consequences)
- Ability to read, interpret, and summarise contractual clauses accurately
- Comfortable working with long, technical documents
- Strong written English (clear, structured, professional)
- Ability to follow defined processes and checklists consistently
Preferred
- Construction industry experience (subcontractor, builder, consultant, or contract admin role)
- Familiarity with construction contracts (e.g. variations, EOTs, progress claims)
- Legal or paralegal background
- Experience working with compliance systems, contract management systems, or legal-tech tools
