Position: Per Diem Family Law Attorney (Remote – WA Licensed)

Cowlitz Law Group PLLC is actively seeking Washington-licensed attorneys with substantial family law and/or probate experience to join our team in flexible, per diem remote roles. As our caseload continues to grow rapidly, we need skilled practitioners who want to focus exclusively on the practice of law while enjoying industry-leading compensation and full administrative support.

Position Overview

This fully remote per diem opportunity offers 10–30 flexible hours per week and is perfect for:

Experienced solo or small-firm attorneys looking to increase revenue without adding overhead

Seasoned family law practitioners who want maximum schedule control

Attorneys who prefer to spend their time on hearings, strategy, and client advocacy rather than administration

Core Responsibilities

Represent clients in dissolutions, parenting plans/residential schedules, child support, maintenance, property division, and related matters

Appear at hearings, mediations, trials, and settlement conferences

Draft pleadings, motions, declarations, settlement agreements, and final orders

Provide strategic advice and maintain excellent client communication

Qualifications

Active Washington State Bar license in good standing

Minimum 3 years of family law experience (probate experience a plus)

Proven courtroom experience and strong legal writing skills

Ability to work independently while adhering to strict RPC 1.6 confidentiality requirements

Professional, client-focused communication style

Compensation & Benefits

We offer one of the most competitive hourly rates in the Washington per diem market. In addition, attorneys who remain with the firm for one full year will receive a $5,000 retention and performance bonus. All billing is handled centrally by the firm, and there are no overhead costs or administrative burdens—you keep more of what you earn while working entirely from home on your own schedule.
