The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Contract Designer to join us on a contract basis, with a clear path to transition into a full-time role if it’s the right fit for both sides.

This is an ideal opportunity for a designer early in their career who wants more than production work—you’ll have the chance to put your signature on real projects, collaborate directly with clients, and grow under the mentorship of our Senior Interior Designer with 30+ years of workplace design.

What You’ll Do

• Develop space plans, furniture layouts, and specifications for commercial office environments
• Create 2D drawings and 3D visualizations to communicate design concepts
• Collaborate with sales teams and clients to understand needs, budgets, and timelines
• Participate in client meetings and presentations
• Assist in product selection, finish palettes, and overall workspace design strategies
• Revise plans based on feedback while maintaining design integrity
• Support installation planning and coordination as needed
• Learn and grow through hands-on mentorship with our senior designer

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree (or enrolled) in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 1–4 years of experience in commercial interiors, office design, or space planning preferred, but not absolutely necessary for right candidate
• Strong understanding of space planning principles and office workflows
• Experience creating plan views, furniture layouts/ renderings, and specifications

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (required)
• Experience with 20/20 and/or CET (Configura) (preferred)
• Familiarity with space planning and rendering tools
• Microsoft Office and basic presentation skills
