Contract Graphic Designer

Position Summary:
The Graphic Designer Intern will support the design team in delivering high-quality visual assets for digital and print platforms. This role involves assisting in the development of creative materials that reflect the organization’s brand and objectives, providing an excellent opportunity for professional development in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the conceptualization and creation of branding, promotional, and event-related materials in line with established design standards.
• Assist with developing graphics for websites, social media, presentations, and print publications under supervision of senior designers.
• Perform revisions and updates on existing design materials according to feedback and evolving project requirements.
• Maintain organized files and adhere to proper version control protocols for all design assets.
• Collaborate actively with interdisciplinary teams, such as marketing, communications, and web development, ensuring cohesive visual messaging.
• Ensure all visual deliverables comply with the organization’s style guides, policies, and quality expectations.
• Attend meetings, contribute professional suggestions, and execute assigned tasks punctually.

Qualifications

• Recent completion of a Bachelor’s degree program in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and familiarity with other graphic software as required.
• Solid understanding of fundamental design concepts, including layout, typography, color theory, and branding principles.
• Effective interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills necessary for team collaboration and constructive feedback.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrating organizational skills and keen attention to detail.

Desired Skills

• Experience with digital and print media design processes.
• Knowledge of web design basics (HTML, CSS, WordPress) and motion graphics/video editing tools is an asset.
