Job Description – Contract Manager (Construction, High-Rise Projects)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager to oversee and manage all contractual aspects of our high-rise building projects in Dubai. The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years of proven experience in the same role within the construction industry, with a strong background in high-rise and large-scale developments. The Contract Manager will be responsible for managing contracts from tender through to project delivery, ensuring compliance with UAE laws, company policies, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer all project contracts, subcontracts, and agreements throughout their lifecycle.
  • Lead contract negotiation, drafting, and execution in compliance with company and client requirements.
  • Provide expert advice on contractual rights, obligations, risks, and liabilities.
  • Monitor project progress to ensure contractual terms and conditions are met.
  • Handle claims management, dispute resolution, and variations to minimize risks and potential delays.
  • Coordinate with project managers, legal teams, consultants, and clients to ensure smooth execution of projects.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE construction laws, FIDIC standards, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Prepare and review tender documents, bids, and contract amendments.
  • Maintain accurate records of all contractual documents and correspondence.
  • Mentor and support junior contract administrators and site teams on contractual matters.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Law, or related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a Contract Manager in the construction industry, specifically with high-rise building projects in the UAE/GCC.
  • Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts and UAE construction law.
  • Proven track record in contract negotiation, administration, and dispute resolution.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple contracts across large-scale projects under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in contract management software and MS Office Suite.

Preferred Skills

  • Chartered status (MRICS, MCIArb, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with multinational clients and consultants in the UAE.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
