Contracts Manager – Saudi Arabia
A leading Saudi construction and contracting group is hiring a Contracts Manager to oversee contract administration, commercial management, and risk mitigation across one or more construction projects of medium value. The role provides commercial support to senior management and leads the project contracts and commercial team to ensure effective contract execution, payment processing, change management, and claims resolution.
Key Responsibilities

Manage end‑to‑end contract administration in line with the Main Contract Agreement.

Issue and track contractual notices (delays, variations, extensions of time, payment defaults, etc.).

Oversee client and subcontractor payment processes, including applications, certifications, and approvals.

Lead BOQ remeasure submissions and secure final approvals.

Work closely with cost control to evaluate, price, and negotiate variations and contractual claims.

Identify and manage contractual and commercial risks, ensuring proper change and claims management.

Lead and develop the contracts/commercial project team, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of tasks.

Act as the main point of contact for the Project Director on contract and commercial matters.

Coordinate with project, legal, finance, and operations teams on claims, variations, and reporting.

Prepare and manage monthly site commercial reports and related documentation.
Profile Requirements

Minimum 15 years’ experience in contracts/commercial management in the construction industry.

Strong knowledge of contract law principles and standard forms of contract (e.g. FIDIC, NEC, JCT).

Proven experience handling BOQ remeasurement, variations, claims and dispute resolution.

Solid understanding of risk assessment, budgeting, cost analysis, and commercial controls.

Experience managing subcontractor agreements, payments, and variations.

Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Proficiency with contract/document management and MS Office; exposure to contract management systems is an advantage.
Education & Professional Credentials

Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Construction Law, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or related field.

Master’s degree and/or professional membership (e.g. MRICS, CIPS, World Commerce & Contracting) preferred.
