Key Requirements & Qualifications
1. Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
- Master’s degree in Construction Law or Project Management is preferred.
- Professional certifications such as MRICS, PMP, FIDIC Certified Contract Manager, or equivalent are highly desirable.
2. Experience
- Minimum 15 years of proven experience in contract management for large-scale infrastructure, building, healthcare, or mixed-use developments.
- Strong experience in major government and semi-government projects in the UAE or GCC region.
- Extensive knowledge of FIDIC contract conditions (Red, Yellow, Silver Books).
- Demonstrated experience in:
- Contract drafting and review
- Claims preparation and defense
- Variations and change management
- Dispute resolution and arbitration support
- Risk management and mitigation strategies
3. Technical & Professional Skills
- Strong understanding of UAE construction laws and regulations.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple high-value contracts simultaneously.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Strong reporting and presentation skills to senior management and clients.
4. Responsibilities
- Lead contract administration for major projects.
- Provide contractual advice to project directors and technical teams.
- Manage claims, EOT submissions, and variation orders.
- Review and negotiate subcontractor agreements.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and project requirements.
- Represent the company in contractual meetings with clients and stakeholders.
