The Contract Senior Designer will create the visual rebrand of Medical Teams International. This role will develop the updated brand look and feel, including core visual elements such as logo refinement, color palette, typography, photography style, illustration, layout systems, and digital + print design standards. The Contract Senior Designer will build the creative foundation for the new brand system and deliver a practical brand toolkit that internal teams and external vendors can use moving forward.
Execute the visual rebrand in collaboration with the CMMO and Marketing Director, from creative strategy through final design production
Develop a comprehensive brand system, including refining the logo, selecting typography, establishing a color palette, designing iconography, defining photography and illustration styles, and developing layout systems.
Create a clear, usable brand style guide and toolkit for internal teams and external vendors
Conduct a brand audit of existing assets and recommend improvements or replacements
Refresh or redesign priority communication materials, including brochures, web elements, email templates, presentation decks, social assets, signage, and wearables
Design and produce print samples and digital assets to support brand rollout
The purpose of this role is to deliver design concepts that:
Strengthens brand clarity and purpose
Supports branding, advertising campaigns, marketing materials, and fundraising efforts
Drives fundraising growth across multi-channel campaigns through design excellence
Equips internal teams with clear, consistently designed materials
This role ensures that the Medical Teams brand design is consistent across fundraising, brand, mobilization, and external communications. This is a contract position working in close collaboration with the Chief Marketing & Mobilization Officer (CMMO) and Director, Marketing, and Marketing Manager.
Updated brand visual language and identity system
Logo refinement and final file package
Brand guidelines (PDF and editable format)
Photography and imagery direction with usage guidance
Digital and print templates (e.g., PowerPoint, brochures, social media, email, stationery)
Organized master design files
Ongoing design support of marketing initiatives, marketing collateral, fundraising efforts, direct response, digital marketing, advertising, events, PR, donor communications, and church engagement.

A summary of your background, design philosophy, and approach to supporting mission-driven organizations.
Relevant Experience
Description of comparable brand and design work, particularly in areas such as logo development and refinement, visual storytelling, environmental and signage systems, digital and print execution, branded materials (i.e., swag), and longer-form publications such as annual or impact reports.

Proposals should demonstrate the following:
10+ years of professional design experience with nonprofits and faith-based organizations
Strong portfolio showing excellence in typography, layout, and visual storytelling
Experience designing assets for both print and digital placement
Ability to work within established brand guidelines while creatively evolving them
Comfort collaborating with marketers, writers, and leadership
Strong project management skills and ability to meet deadlines
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop); familiarity with working in shared, cloud-based environments is helpful
Medical Teams International anticipates this role will be engaged on a contract basis, with an estimated workload of 40 hours per week.

Proposals will be evaluated through documented review of all relevant criteria by qualified Medical Teams staff, as required by the Medical Teams Global Procurement Policy. Medical Teams reserves the right to award in full, part, or not at all, any submission; and to re-publish the RFP.
Value for money is important to Medical Teams International, and all decisions will be made to ensure funds dispensed are used in the most effective and efficient manner. Medical Teams International may award multiple contracts, and all contracts will be non-exclusive.
Payment: Medical Teams International’s standard payment terms are Net 30 or acceptance of Goods/Services/Works, whichever is later.
