Contract Specialist
for

Job Summary:
The Contract Specialist is a key role within the Company, reporting to the Legal Director for the Middle East and Africa region. You will provide guidance to the quantity surveying team and advise on commercial risk management matters to the business and leadership teams. This position offers high visibility and an opportunity to contribute, learn, and grow in a dynamic environment.
Job Responsibilities
1.
Management:

Develop and implement procedures for contract management in compliance with company policy.

Maintain and update standard contract agreements for customers and vendors.

Provide training and guidance to Sales and Operations teams on contracting practices.

Support interpretation of contractual obligations and risk management strategies.

Assist Quantity Surveyors in managing post-sales commercial matters, including payment applications, change orders, and claims.
2.Pre-Sales:
-
Review and negotiate standard and non-standard contracts, providing redlined recommendations.

Identify and mitigate contractual/legal/business risks.

Draft contractual documents for outcome-based models (e.g., performance contracting, digital solutions).

Prepare bid proposal cover letters and ensure compliance with insurance requirements.

Act as liaison between Sales, Operations, Finance, and Procurement teams for risk review.

Drive compliance with DOA requirements and bid review policies.
Job Requirements:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Law.
-
5-7 years in industry (preferably building systems, manufacturing, or services), with at least 2 years in a similar role.

Strong knowledge of FIDIC, NEC, and bespoke contracts.

Familiarity with warranty, bank guarantees, insurance, and letters of credit.

Exposure to dispute resolution processes (litigation, arbitration, mediation).

Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with CLM tools (e.g., Salesforce).
