Position Overview:

We are seeking a Contracts Administrator to strengthen our Commercial Department. The role focuses on reviewing, amending, negotiating, drafting, and monitoring contract documents to ensure compliance, risk mitigation, and alignment with company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with internal departments such as Tendering, Project Management and Operation to ensure contractual alignment.
  • Review, edit, and comment on contract drafts to ensure fairness, completeness, and policy alignment; as well as to propose modifications to key clauses.
  • Integrate commercial proposal terms and conditions into finalized contracts.
  • Develop and maintain risk registers related to contractual clauses.
  • Analyze draft contracts to identify additional requirements during bid preparation.
  • Support technical and project teams in interpreting contract clauses and obligations.
  • Report directly to the Commercial Director.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Contracts Administrator in the construction or engineering industry.
  • Experience in contract amendment processes.
  • Strong command of FIDIC Red Book (Construction Contracts) and FIDIC White Book (Services Agreements).
  • Proven ability to draft, interpret and modify contractual clauses.
  • Familiarity with key construction concepts such as variations, claims, progress payments, advance payments, retentions, and close-out processes.
  • Excellent command of English with strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • FIDIC Expertise: Proven experience managing and interpreting FIDIC-based contracts (especially Red and White Books) in both pre- and post-award phases.
  • Claims & Variation Handling: Demonstrated ability to prepare, evaluate, and defend claims, variations, and extension of time requests with clear documentation.
  • GCC Contracting Experience: Prior experience within Saudi Arabia or other GCC countries, with solid understanding of regional commercial, legal, and procurement practices.
