Key Responsibilities
- Review, analyze, and negotiate construction contracts, subcontracts, and change orders to ensure compliance with company policies and UAE laws.
- Prepare, review, and negotiate subcontract agreements with appropriate back-to-back clauses.
- Monitor contract compliance across all project phases and highlight potential issues or disputes.
- Draft and issue contract-related correspondence, notices, and claims, including Extension of Time (EOT) submissions.
- Collaborate with the legal and project management teams to resolve contractual matters efficiently.
- Ensure subcontractors adhere to contractual obligations, project milestones, and deliverables.
- Provide contractual guidance to project teams to promote compliance and awareness.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in contract administration or contract engineering within the construction industry, preferably in the UAE/GCC.
- Experience in utility contracts, steel erection, or facility management projects is an added advantage.
- Solid understanding of UAE construction laws, FIDIC conditions, and international contracting standards.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to identify contractual and commercial risks.
- Proven ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.
- Fluency in English with strong contractual letter drafting and reporting abilities.
