Legal Counsel

This role focuses on reviewing contracts, contract drafting, agency/JV/partnership documentation, compliance coordination, and legal due diligence across OGI’s regional and international operations.

The position is ideal for a legally qualified professional (2–5 years PQE) who is detail-oriented, business-minded, and eager to build strong expertise in oil & gas services, equipment rentals, and cross-border contracting.

Legal Coordination & Documentation

• Maintain organized contract registers, trackers, and renewal calendars.
• Support in performance bond / bank guarantee documentation and tracking.
• Coordinate with Commercial, Finance, and Operations teams for contract inputs and signatures.
• Maintain and update internal contract templates, clause banks, and document repositories.
• Coordinate with external counsel on matters requiring local filings or dispute support.
• Prepare internal summaries and briefing notes for management review.
• Assist in training sessions or presentations on contract awareness and compliance basics.

Legal Research & Compliance

• Conduct research on applicable laws, local content regulations, and international standards relevant to OGI’s jurisdictions (e.g., UAE, Angola, Libya, India).
• Assist in preparing compliance checklists and due diligence reports for new partners or tenders.
• Support audits and regulatory submissions under supervision.
