Job Description – Contracts Engineer

Job Purpose
Administer and safeguard the company’s contractual and commercial position across the project lifecycle—pre-award reviews, post-award administration, change management, claims/defense, and close-out—ensuring full compliance with FIDIC and contract conditions, timely notices, and accurate documentation that protect cost, schedule, and risk.
Job Purpose
Drive revenue growth and market penetration for AGNICE in industrial facilities (distribution centers, cold storage, logistics hubs, food processing plants, light-industrial/warehouses) by originating and converting opportunities, shaping Design-Build/Turnkey/Built-to-Suit solutions, and leading the technical-commercial interface from lead qualification through award.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, review, and manage contracts, subcontracts, and related documents.
Draft contractual correspondence, notices, and documentation in line with contract conditions.
Review of tender documents, including Instructions to Tenderers, Conditions of Contract, Scope of Work, and Specifications.
Assist in the preparation of tender submissions, ensuring compliance with client requirements and submission deadlines.
Conduct detailed reviews of Conditions of Contract (CoC) and identify commercial and contractual risks.
Ensure timely arrangement of project insurances including Contractors All Risk (CAR), Workmen’s Compensation (WC), and Plant & Equipment (P&E), and verify compliance with contractual insurance obligations.
Liaise with insurance providers and internal teams to obtain, maintain, and renew project-specific insurances.
Monitor and track project deliverables in line with contract requirements.
Assist in claims preparation including EOT (Extension of Time), cost claims, and variations.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in contract execution.
Coordinate with project managers, quantity surveyors, and procurement teams to align contractual obligations.
Maintain organized contract records and correspondence for audit and reference purposes.
Support the procurement team during tendering and bid evaluation stages.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
6-10 years of experience in contract administration or contract engineer.
Strong knowledge of FIDIC and other standard forms of contract.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Proficiency in contract management tools and MS Office.
