Job Description
Primarily responsible for pre-award activities of execution stage contracts of Asset Development Phase 2 e.g. EPC Contractors, EPCM Contractors, Construction Contractors, Other Service Providers ensuring there is no value leakage during the define and execute stage of asset development.
Responsible for Post award contract management of awarded contracts of Capital Projects e.g. PMC Contractor, EPC Contractors, Construction All Risk Insurance, Other Service Providers ensuring there is no value leakage during the execute stage of asset development. Leads the process of change order and supports project management team in performance management, risk management of all execute stage contracts.
Proficient in developing the process and procedures of contracting and procurement related to implementation of Capital Projects and familiar with Contract and Procurement systems like Procon, E-Ariba,iValua etc.

Developing Contracting Strategy & Its Implementation
Take inputs from the requisitioning departments, understand their requirements, assess the market capability supporting the requirements and finalize contractual strategy in line with approved processes.
Develop bid list and evaluation criteria
Develop the contract documents including price schedules based on the inputs provided by the technical teams/engineering consultants.
Liaison with legal, commercial and finance departments for finalising the contract terms & conditions.
Finalize the contract document and make it ready for floating including obtaining required internal approvals.
Develop Insurance strategy and support taking CAR/EAR insurance for the project
Floating enquiries and completing the tendering process till award of work.
Identify the vendors/contractors for floating enquiries and obtain approval of the same.
Float the enquiries in line with procedures and liaison with other departments for completing the tendering process.
Coordinating commercial/technical queries and their timely response.
Monitoring & Expediting the process and highlight issues causing delays, if any.
Ensure timely award of work on completion of the process including signing of contract, Non-Disclosure Agreement and any other relevant documents.
Developing standard contracting processes and strategies including standard term & conditions,
With the objective of standardising the contracting processes, develop the processes, strategies, and vendor/contractor data base.
Introduce KPIs in the Contracts and develop a feedback system for vendors/contractors for future reference.
Post award Contract Management
Provide contractual interpretation to user departments for contractual terms & conditions whenever required.
Change Order Management, Change Proposal Review and approval of change orders
Performance Management of Contractors ensuring there is no value leakage
Provide support during contract closing and in resolving the disputes, if any.
