Heilbronn is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee contractual, commercial, and legal aspects of construction projects, ensuring risk mitigation, compliance, and commercial protection across the project lifecycle. The role requires strong expertise in contract administration, claims management, and stakeholder negotiations for high-value developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead contract administration for main contracts, subcontracts, and consultancy agreements
- Draft, review, and manage FIDIC-based contracts, amendments, and correspondence
- Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual risks, variations, and claims
- Oversee change management, including EOTs, variations, and cost implications
- Support project teams in dispute avoidance, claims preparation, and negotiations
- Coordinate with legal advisors, consultants, and senior management on contractual matters
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, local regulations, and internal policies
- Review and approve payment applications, final accounts, and settlement agreements
- Maintain accurate contract registers, records, and commercial reports
- Advise management on commercial strategy and risk exposure throughout the project lifecycle
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management
- Minimum 8–12 years of experience in contracts/commercial management within construction or real estate
- Strong working knowledge of FIDIC contracts and UAE construction law
- Proven experience handling claims, variations, disputes, and negotiations
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred Skills
- Experience on high-rise, mixed-use, or large-scale developments
- Familiarity with arbitration, mediation, and dispute resolution processes
- Strategic mindset with strong attention to detail
