Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our team at our Santacruz office to oversee and finalize vendor contracts for Civil and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) packages. This is a critical back-office role requiring strong technical knowledge and contract management expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Contract Management

  • Review, negotiate, and finalize vendor contracts for Civil and MEP packages
  • Ensure all contract terms and conditions align with company policies and legal requirements
  • Coordinate with legal team for contract review and approval processes
  • Maintain comprehensive contract documentation and filing systems
  • Monitor contract performance and compliance throughout project lifecycle

Vendor Relations

  • Evaluate vendor proposals and technical specifications
  • Conduct vendor negotiations to secure favourable terms and conditions
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with Civil and MEP contractors
  • Assess vendor capabilities, financial stability, and past performance
  • Coordinate with procurement team for vendor selection and qualification

Risk Management

  • Identify potential risks in contract terms and propose mitigation strategies
  • Ensure adequate insurance coverage and bonding requirements in contracts
  • Review and approve contract modifications, change orders, and amendments
  • Monitor compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards

Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare contract summaries and status reports for senior management
  • Maintain contract databases and tracking systems
  • Ensure proper documentation of all contract-related communications
  • Coordinate with project teams to align contract deliverables with project requirements

Essential Qualifications

Educational Requirements

  • Minimum: Diploma in Engineering from recognized institution
  • Specialization: Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Additional certifications in Contract Management or Project Management preferred

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in contract management
  • Proven experience in Civil and MEP contract negotiations
  • Experience with construction industry contracts and vendor management
  • Background in engineering projects and technical contract review

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of Civil and MEP engineering principles
  • Knowledge of construction industry standards, codes, and regulations
  • Familiarity with contract law and legal terminology
  • Proficiency in contract management software and MS Office Suite
  • Understanding of project management principles

  • Experience with EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) contracts

Reporting Structure

  • Reports to: COO
  • Coordinates with: Legal team, Project managers, Procurement team, Finance department
