This position within the Special Projects Department (SPD) is responsible for managing the program and processes for how contracts are tracked, issued, and closed out through the organization. They will expertly help drive strategy and execution for cloud-based contract and cost-management solutions and are pivotal in helping SPD project management teams work smarter and more efficiently, and in ensuring budget compliance, risk mitigation and compliance with contractual obligations is monitored and managed consistently throughout the organization. The role will be responsible for these duties for multi-million dollar contracts with hundreds of major contractors. Using Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and other cloud-based solutions, the role will connect data across all phases strategically to empower project teams and leadership with predictive data analytics and insights.
This individual contributor, advanced professional will report to the SPD Project Management Director.
- Program Strategy & Governance
Define and maintain the contracts program, including metrics and processes related to contracts.
Establish governance frameworks in ACC (and other tools) with stage-gates, decision logs, and alerts to enforce consistency across all sites.
Translate senior leadership priorities into structured roadmaps that align with contract milestones, budget targets and compliance.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
Serve as the liaison for executive sponsors, business units, legal and finance departments, and external partners.
Develop and automate ACC dashboards and reports to keep stakeholders informed.
Facilitate contracts program status reviews, risk-and-issue escalations.
Develop training and communications plans to build consistency and process flow
Develop regular communications, reports, dashboards, meeting cadences—to keep all parties informed.
- Cross-Project Coordination & Delivery
Oversee integration of contract schedules, change orders, cost/budget reports, and resource plans into dashboards/reports within cloud platforms.
Ensure seamless handoff of deliverables—contracts, submittals, cost reports, and closeout documentation—enforcing standardized workflows
Identify interdependencies and resolve cross-team conflicts/resource bottlenecks.
- Financial & Risk Management
Coordinate regularly with finance and legal departments to ensure ongoing compliance with contracts.
Lead strategic risk assessments of the contracts program to determine threats, opportunities, and mitigation plans.
Monitor key performance indicators to ensure contracts are consistently applied.
- Process Improvement & Agile Practices
Champion continuous-improvement initiatives: refine program processes, templates, and tools.
Define and prioritize enhancements to program.
- Team Leadership & Capability Building
Coordinate with project teams and department leaders to ensure proper application of the contracts program.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and data-driven decision-making across the program.
- Bachelor’s degree in Contract Management, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Business Management, or related field.
- 7 years of construction project management or construction financial/ business management experience, ideally utilizing cloud software or construction technology.
- Proficiency in contract and cost management tools and ERP systems.
- Strong understanding of architecture, design, construction, and building maintenance workflows.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear product requirements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred
- Familiarity with Autodesk products or similar platforms.
- Understanding of construction agreements and project cost management.
- Comfort with ambiguity and ability to lead in complex problem spaces.
