Contracts Section Head

Key Accountabilities:

  • Review all types of contracts and associated documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with legal and company requirements. Identify any discrepancies, inconsistencies, or potential issues that require further clarification or negotiation.
  • Assist in drafting, preparing, and formatting contracts, amendments, and addendums based on provided templates and guidelines. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather necessary information and ensure contractual accuracy.
  • Work closely with all stakeholders, legal counsel, and other internal departments to facilitate the contract review and approval process. Communicate contract-related requirements, obligations, and updates to relevant parties.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions in pre-contract stage.
  • Identify, record, prepare, submit, track, and negotiate and settle disputed claims & variations.
  • Ensure documentation to negotiate that disputed change orders have been properly produced and maintained.
  • Track payment applications/ invoices submission dates, approval dates, payment dates and verify the reason of holding or rejecting any item.
  • Review correspondences logs and ensure open letters are replied to.
  • Draft responses on Client’s representative correspondences.
  • Follow up on major subcontractor claims and status.
  • Assist (when needed) and review in the preparation of Extension of Time and cost claims to Clients.
  • Review contracts in the pre-contract stage and highlight risk exposures.
  • Monitor contract compliance and ensure adherence to contractual obligations, including timelines, deliverables, and reporting requirements. Collaborate with sales teams to track and document contract performance.
  • Provide support and guidance to internal stakeholders and sales teams regarding contract-related inquiries, clarifications, and disputes. Collaborate with customers to address questions or concerns related to contract terms and obligations.
  • Stay updated on newly announced ministerial decrees.
  • Responsible for guiding contract administrators and training them for skills needed.

Qualification & Education:

Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering from a reputable University .

Years of Experience: 12+ years’ experience in Contracts Management.

Language: Fluent English

Technical competencies:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex contractual concepts to stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in contract management, preferably in a sales or commercial environment.
  • Strong understanding of contract law, terms, and conditions, as well as legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong ethics and integrity, ensuring compliance with legal and company policies.
  • Ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • CLAC Certified or any contract-related certificate.
