Tata Electronics Private Limited (TEPL) is a greenfield venture of the Tata Group with expertise in manufacturing precision components.

Tata Electronics (a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons Pvt. Ltd.) is building India’s first AI-enabled state-of-the-art Semiconductor Foundry. This facility will produce chips for applications such as power management IC, display drivers, microcontrollers (MCU) and high-performance computing logic, addressing the growing demand in markets such as automotive, computing and data storage, wireless communications and artificial intelligence.

Responsibilities: Will include the following, other duties may be assigned:

• Own end-to-end contracting for high-value CapEx packages (EPC, LSTK, SITC, OFCI, hybrid models)
• Lead commercial negotiations covering pricing, payment terms, LDs, liability caps, warranties, latent defects, and termination rights
• Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for long-lead and high-risk CapEx categories (MEP, utilities, process infrastructure)
• Drive single-source risk mitigation, alternate vendor development, and localization strategies
• Partner with GC à Engineering & Projects to align sourcing with design maturity, schedules, and construction sequencing
• Perform should-cost analysis, value engineering, and cost-risk trade-off evaluations
• Manage change orders, claims, variations, and commercial disputes through project lifecycle
• Act as commercial interface with GCs, OEMs, consultants, legal, finance, and auditors
• Ensure compliance with procurement governance, DOA, funding covenants, and audit requirements
• Influence senior leadership with fact-based, risk-adjusted recommendations on cost, schedule, and vendor strategy
• Engineering degree required; semiconductor / data center project experience strongly preferred

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/master's degree in engineering or related fields.

Desired Experience Level

• 12–15 years of experience in semiconductor fabs, hyperscale data centers, or large greenfield infrastructure / EPC projects
