Job Title: Control Room Operator (Oil & Gas)
Job Summary:
We are looking for a vigilant and detail-oriented Control Room Operator to oversee our production facility's nerve center. You will be responsible for monitoring automated systems, managing alarms, and coordinating with field technicians to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor & Control: Operate Distributed Control Systems (DCS) or SCADA to manage pressures, flows, and temperatures.
- Incident Management: Respond immediately to alarms and abnormal conditions; execute emergency shutdown procedures if necessary.
- Coordination: Act as the primary communication hub between field operators and management to sync maintenance and production activities.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate daily logs of production data, equipment malfunctions, and safety incidents.
- Compliance: Ensure all operations meet environmental and safety regulations (HSE).
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: Experience in oil and gas production or refinery operations.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with DCS (e.g., Honeywell, DeltaV, or ABB) and SCADA systems.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED; technical certification or Associate’s degree in Process Technology is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, ability to multitask under pressure, and clear radio/verbal communication.
Work Environment:
- This position will be Mon-Fri. The shifts will be 12 hours per day.
- Must be comfortable sitting for extended periods while maintaining high levels of focus.
