Plant Operator (QNCC)

Qatar National Cement Company hires IT and cybersecurity professionals to support its cement plant operations, ERP systems (SAP), and industrial infrastructure.

A Plant Operator in a cement company like QNCC is responsible for running and monitoring the production process (cement manufacturing plant operations).

Core Duties:

Operate plant equipment (crushers, kilns, conveyors, mills)

Monitor and control production systems (often from control room / CCR)

Adjust process parameters to maintain production efficiency

Coordinate with field technicians and shift supervisors

Record production data and maintain logs

Inspect plant machinery and report abnormalities

Perform start-up and shutdown of equipment

Follow strict safety and environmental procedures

In control-room roles (CCR Operator), responsibilities include:

Operating multiple plant sections from a central system

Monitoring temperature, pressure, and flow levels

Optimizing plant performance and output

Skills & Requirements:

Diploma or degree (Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical Engineering)

Experience in cement or heavy industry (usually 2–8 years)

Knowledge of plant systems (kiln, raw mill, packing plant)

Basic computer / control system skills (DCS/SCADA)

Strong problem-solving and safety awareness
