About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Security Engineer (Level 2) to join our team. The role is responsible for the operation, design, implementation, and optimization of secure network infrastructure. You will manage security-critical systems, troubleshoot advanced issues, and ensure reliable operations of routing, switching, and firewall technologies in a mission-critical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full network lifecycle (Planning, Design, Implementation, Operation, Optimization – PDIOO).
- Oversee day-to-day operations and support enhancements for security and network infrastructure.
- Provide 1st and 2nd line management of regional network management control room.
- Perform root cause analysis of highly complex network security issues.
- Support complex network upgrades and migration activities.
- Mentor and train junior engineers; provide escalation support for advanced security technologies.
- Work closely with system integrators and vendors to manage ICT/security projects.
- Coordinate with Cisco TAC and other OEMs for escalated issue resolution.
- Develop future vision architecture to meet cost, risk, and security objectives.
- Ensure enterprise-wide security best practices in line with operational goals.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science / Engineering (or related).
- 10+ years’ experience in network security engineering roles.
- Must hold CCNA (Routing & Switching).
- Hands-on experience with:
- Next-generation firewalls (Cisco FTD, Fortigate, Palo Alto).
- Cisco switches, routers, and WLC with ISE integration.
- Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), endpoint security, ISE, and antivirus.
- SIEM products (Solarwinds, NetFlow Analyzer, Stealthwatch).
- DNS/DHCP servers (Microsoft, Infoblox).
- VLANs, trunking, spanning tree, VRFs, NAT, ACLs, and security policies.
- Experience with TACACS / RADIUS, DNS, DHCP, and other IP services.
Desirable:
- Project Management qualification (PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent).
- VMware vSphere and Windows Active Directory knowledge.
- Exposure to Asset Affairs business functions.
- Voice solution experience.
