Bridger Orthopedic is seeking an experienced Controller to join our dynamic team. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Controller will be responsible for overseeing the organization's accounting operations and financial reporting. This includes managing the general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, budgeting, and regulatory compliance.

  • Oversee the accounting and finance functions for three different legal entities in healthcare
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and present detailed reports to upper management
  • Develop, implement, monitor and report on assigned departments' annual budget and goals
  • Review and prepare balance sheet reconciliations and month end journal entries, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, optimizing cash flow and vendor relationships
  • Manage payroll processing, including the calculation and distribution of quarterly physician bonuses and other compensation
  • Responsible for the management and oversight of the profit-sharing plan to include the annual audit and filing of the annual report with the Department of Labor.
  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls and accounting policies
  • Supervise and develop the accounting team
  • Engage with CPA on complex transactions and items needed for their preparation of tax returns and audits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA certification required
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 3-5 years in a Controller or senior-level role
  • Experience in the healthcare industry is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), financial reporting, and regulatory compliance
  • Proficient in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks) and data analysis tools
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $125,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Supplemental Pay:

  • Quarterly bonus
