Urban Infraconstruction is looking for a Controller to join our Accounting department

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, job cost, and general ledger.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Manage Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules, revenue recognition, and job profitability reporting.
• Partner with project managers to analyze job performance and forecast project outcomes.
• Oversee construction billing processes including AIA progress billings, T&M, lump-sum, GMP, and cost-plus contracts.
• Lead and develop the accounting team while driving improvements in financial processes, systems, and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3–5 years in construction accounting.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, job cost accounting, and WIP reporting.
• Experience with construction billing, retention, change orders, and contract compliance.
• Proficiency with construction ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
