Job Overview:

Rouse Chamberlin Homes is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Controller to oversee our financial operations and contribute hands on to the continued success and growth of our company. This role requires a strong background in accounting and exceptional organizational skills. Experience with construction financing, cash flow, budget and profit reporting is necessary. Experience with accounting software, particularly ECI Mark Systems Homebuilding Accounting, is a significant plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement financial strategies and mesh with operational demands.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
  • Assist in maintaining and improving the company's IT systems.
  • Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
  • Oversee human resources management, including payroll, benefits administration, employee records, and employee satisfaction efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the homebuilding or construction industry.
  • Proficiency in accounting software that is part of a homebuilder ERP.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
