About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on Controller to join our growing team. This role is ideal for an experienced, senior financial professional who wants to be close to the business, and hold a meaningful leadership role within the financial function of our organization.
The Controller will work closely with the CFO and leadership team to strengthen month-end close, support financial reporting, cash flow planning, and provide meaningful visibility into projects, commissions, receivables, payables, profitability, and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities
- Own month-end close activities, account reconciliations, financial statement review, and related reporting.
- Prepare job cost reports, schedules, percentage-of-completion analysis, and project profitability reporting.
- Review project-related financial activity, including commissions, receivables, payables, over/under billings, and related accounting impacts.
- Maintain accurate accounting records, including financial statements, A/R aging, and A/P aging.
- Reconcile data between operational systems and accounting software, researching and resolving discrepancies.
- Prepare cash flow reports and forecasts.
- Support payroll, customer invoicing, purchase orders, receipts, bills, customer payments, and related accounting transactions.
- Support sales and use tax calculations and reporting.
- Help improve accounting processes, reporting, documentation, and overall financial visibility.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience preferred.
- Public accounting, construction accounting, job costing, WIP schedules, percentage-of-completion accounting, or over/under billing experience strongly preferred.
- CPA background strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial statements, reconciliations, month-end close, and internal accounting controls.
- Experience with QuickBooks Desktop or similar accounting software required.
- Strong Excel skills, including reconciliations, schedules, large data sets, and management reporting.
- Comfortable working across multiple systems and with accounting, operations, sales, project management, and leadership teams.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
