Controls Solutions Account Manager

A leader in the Automatic Temperature Controls industry is seeking an HVAC Controls Solutions Account Manager. The Controls Solutions Account Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth by developing, managing, and expanding customer relationships within the building automation and smart-building technology market. This role focuses heavily on consultative selling, helping customers understand the value of advanced automation solutions, especially remote monitoring, remote control capabilities, AI-driven optimization, and predictive analytics.

The ideal candidate brings a strong technical understanding of modern HVAC systems and BAS platforms, and the ability to translate customer challenges into tailored, high-value solutions.

Compensation includes a competitive salary commensurate with experience, with an uncapped performance-based incentive program, plus excellent benefits! Commissions are paid on booked margin!

Essential Duties:

• Consultative Sales & Smart-Building Solutions
• Develop ROI-driven proposals that highlight performance improvements, energy savings, and operational efficiencies enabled by AI and remote access tools.
• Develop a marketing plan to achieve sales targets
• Pursue system upgrades, retrofits, and migrations from existing AND competitor platforms.
• Give sales presentations to potential clients
• Lead or support coordinated sales efforts with other departments
• Determine recommended selling strategy and initial pricing.
• Present the proposal and negotiate price and contract terms and conditions with customers.
• Follow up with buying influences to secure orders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in a technical or business-related field.
• 3+ years of experience in HVAC Controls Sales, Engineering or Marketing.
• Excellent oral/written communication skills..
• Ability to function independently and deliver results.
