  • Food preparation: Chop, peel, slice, and marinate ingredients, and prepare dishes like soups, sauces, and main courses.
  • Cooking: Cook food using various methods like grilling, frying, and roasting, and operate cooking equipment.
  • Support and assistance: Assist the Chef de Partie and other senior chefs with daily duties and provide support during busy periods.
  • Station management: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including cooking surfaces and utensils.
  • Stock and inventory: Help with deliveries, stock rotation, and monitoring food stock and costs.
  • Quality and safety: Ensure all food is prepared to high-quality and safety standards, adhering to food hygiene regulations.
  • Learning and development: Learn new recipes, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations, and follow instructions from senior chefs.
  • Communication: Inform chefs of food needs and communicate with other staff to coordinate duties.
