Duties

• Assist with menu planning to meet dietary requirements and preferences
• Prepare and cook a variety of meals with attention to quality, presentation, and safety standards
• Handle food with care, following proper food safety protocols and hygiene practices
• Support dietary department activities by organizing ingredients and maintaining kitchen cleanliness
• Serve meals efficiently while ensuring a positive dining experience for all guests or residents
• Contribute to food industry best practices through proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
• Participate in catering events and special meal preparations as needed

Experience

• Previous dietary aide or dietary department experience preferred, with familiarity in meal preparation and food service operations
• Hands-on kitchen experience in restaurants or catering environments demonstrating strong knife skills and cooking techniques
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
• Experience with menu planning, food presentation, and meal assembly
• Background in the food industry or culinary fields that showcase your ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and serve guests effectively
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
