Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu plans.
• Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Assist in menu planning and development, contributing new ideas for seasonal dishes.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, ovens, and grills.
• Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
• Provide support in training new kitchen staff on food handling procedures and cooking techniques.

Requirements

• Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within the food industry or restaurant setting.
• Strong knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Proficient knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques.
• Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a busy kitchen environment.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
