Role Overview

The Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking food items according to the restaurant’s menu, recipes, and quality standards while ensuring food safety, hygiene, and consistency in a casual dining environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesFood Preparation & Cooking

  • Prepare, cook, and present menu items as per company recipes and standards
  • Ensure portion control, food quality, and consistency at all times
  • Follow kitchen SOPs and chef instructions

Food Safety & Hygiene

  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, equipment, and workstations
  • Follow food safety, hygiene, and health regulations
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of food items

Kitchen Operations

  • Assist in stock checking, prep work, and minimizing wastage
  • Support kitchen team during peak hours
  • Report equipment or maintenance issues to the supervisor

Team Coordination

  • Work cooperatively with kitchen and service teams
  • Follow instructions from Senior Cook / Chef / Kitchen Supervisor

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Cook in Casual Dining / Restaurant preferred (freshers may apply)
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physically fit and willing to work in shifts

Benefits

  • Working Days: 6 days per week
  • Weekly Off: 1 day
  • Annual Leave: 2 months leave once every 2 years

Job Type: Full-time
