Role Overview
The Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking food items according to the restaurant’s menu, recipes, and quality standards while ensuring food safety, hygiene, and consistency in a casual dining environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesFood Preparation & Cooking
- Prepare, cook, and present menu items as per company recipes and standards
- Ensure portion control, food quality, and consistency at all times
- Follow kitchen SOPs and chef instructions
Food Safety & Hygiene
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, equipment, and workstations
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and health regulations
- Ensure proper storage and handling of food items
Kitchen Operations
- Assist in stock checking, prep work, and minimizing wastage
- Support kitchen team during peak hours
- Report equipment or maintenance issues to the supervisor
Team Coordination
- Work cooperatively with kitchen and service teams
- Follow instructions from Senior Cook / Chef / Kitchen Supervisor
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience as a Cook in Casual Dining / Restaurant preferred (freshers may apply)
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Physically fit and willing to work in shifts
