Coordinator, Logistics

Position Details

  • Full Time
  • Day Shift (varying start times)
  • 10hr shift 4 days a week
  • Weekends as needed

A Brief Overview

This position is the integral role within the System Operations Center of University Hospitals Health System to coordinate logistical activities across the broad spectrum of entities and service line platforms to deliver care and services to our patients.

What You Will Do

  • Primary contact for logistical services for leadership in the UH System Operations Center.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the various business units and their unique processes to facilitate logistical needs
  • Initiates and coordinates the execution of daily UH service provider schedules for specified disciplines on the UH scheduling platform to ensure accurate patient visits and task lists.
  • Continuously monitor escalation channels to process and implement daily scheduling changes.
  • Collaborate with Manger to onboard additional logistical service offerings for the system
  • Proactively ensures timing of urgent requests and prioritize appropriately.
  • Demonstrates and maintains positive inter-personal relationships to provide quality customer service.
  • Maintains professionalism and composure under highly stressful situations.
  • Ensures confidentiality of patient information
  • Answers telephone and email inquiries in a courteous, timely, and efficient manner. Facilitate timely communication to internal/external staff.
  • Maintains in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of the technology needed to perform responsibilities successfully.
  • Assists with developing/training new staff members.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
Education
  • Associate's Degree (Required) and
  • Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
Work Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in transportation management, patient registration, scheduling, insurance office or related medical field (Required)
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Detail-oriented and organized with good analytical and problem solving ability. (Required proficiency)
  • Excellent customer service, communication, presentation and relationship building skills. (Required proficiency)
  • Ability to multi-task as well as function independently in a fast-paced and often stressful work environment. (Required proficiency)

  • Ability to troubleshoot, resolve and follow-up on high profile issues. (Required proficiency)

  • Demonstrated advanced ability to use PCs, Microsoft Office and general office equipment (i.e. printers, copy machine, fax machine. (Required proficiency)
