Qualification
Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transport Management, or a related field.
Experience
3 to 5 years in transport operations or fleet supervision.
Requirements
- Knowledge of national transport regulations, heavy vehicle compliance, and load securing standards.
- Strong attention to detail and safety compliance.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Problem-solving and quick decision-making under pressure.
- Proficiency in GPS tracking and transport management systems.
- Ability to enforce standards and manage transporter relationships.
- Ability to work in remote field environments with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Review 90-day cargo plans to analyze material types, dimensions, and weight profiles.
- Define truck types and quantities required for each cargo category.
- Forecast fleet requirements for the upcoming 90-day period considering operational constraints.
- Ensure truck configurations comply with RDMC safety standards and legal requirements.
- Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and site logistics teams to validate cargo readiness.
- Provide detailed fleet requirement data to the Scheduler for integration into dispatch plans.
- Recommend strategies for load planning and truck utilization optimization.
