About the Role

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Copy Editor with LaTeX expertise to join our Editorial Services – Journals team. The ideal candidate will have strong language editing skills along with hands-on experience in editing and formatting content using LaTeX. You will play a key role in ensuring the technical and linguistic accuracy of academic and scientific publications.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit and proofread content for grammar, punctuation, syntax, and spelling errors.
• Perform language and technical editing of documents prepared in LaTeX format.
• Ensure consistency in layout, equations, references, and formatting using LaTeX commands and templates.
• Collaborate with production teams to resolve LaTeX-related formatting or compilation issues.
• Verify facts, cross-check references, and ensure technical accuracy of content.
• Ensure all materials adhere to journal-specific style guides, tone, and brand voice.
• Enhance clarity, readability, and overall presentation of academic manuscripts.
• Work closely with authors, writers, and designers to meet publication deadlines.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Excellent command of English and strong grammar/language editing skills.
• Proficiency in LaTeX typesetting and ability to handle structured documents.
• Familiarity with academic or journal publishing standards.
• Strong attention to detail and consistency in formatting and style.
• Proficiency with editing tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Grammarly, and LaTeX editors such as Overleaf or TeXstudio).
• Familiarity with major style guides (AP, Chicago, MLA, or journal-specific).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
