is searching for a Part-time Copyeditor to support our valued client partners. The Editor works to coordinate publication and editorial processes for assigned AH client publications and deliver exceptional publication, editorial and content development services. The Editor reports to the Senior Editor.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Oversees publication and editorial processes as assigned

Works to establish, produce and publish top-quality editorial content that represents the very best in writing and story execution for each assigned client publication

Plans content (with client input and collaboration) of print publications to align with that client's prescribed style and editorial policies

Actively collaborates with writers, contributors, and designers on key components of story development to assure that all additional elements such as sidebars, boxes, charts, and infographics are both engaging, informative and are properly executed

Assures that content is closely copyedited for errors in spelling, punctuation, and grammar
-
Ensures that length, tone, and approach of client content is in alignment with each assigned clients' standards and strategic goals

Establishes deadlines for assigned editorial products and executions using Smartsheet
-
Collaborates with designers, in the selection, sequencing and editing of visual content and all graphic elements such as charts, maps and infographics

Confirms that content has been fact-checked using all available reference sources
-
Evaluates submissions from writers to determine the extent of editing required, ensuring that submitted content aligns with client content strategy and connects with the designated audience

Support Senior Editor on assigned clients and/or projects
-
Other duties as assigned

Proactively alerts Supervisors to challenges or concerns related to delivery of service

Proactively suggests solutions to aforementioned challenges when they occur

Effectively self-review all work products to eliminate and/ or limit errors

Education/ Experience/Required Proficiencies

Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma required
Language Skills
Ability to effectively communicate in oral and written form with management, internal & external customers.

Demonstrate the ability to anticipate and solve practical problems or resolve issues.

May include lifting up to 25 pounds for files, presentation equipment/documents and computer printouts on certain occasions.
