Copywriter

Reports to: Associate Vice President for Campaign Strategies

Location: Remote (U.S.)

Compensation: $50 - $60 per hour

POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Copywriter (contractor), you will be responsible for collaborating with our internal team to create unique, impactful copy on behalf of our higher education client-partners. Written content includes, but is not limited to, prospective student postcards, emails, brochures, booklets, and ads.

Note: The use of AI is not allowed for copy creation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Use client-provided brand guidelines and institution research to create engaging copy that matches each higher education institution's brand voice and engages the desired target audience (prospective students)
  • Ensure that all copy is clear, concise, and free of errors
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure that copy is integrated seamlessly into all marketing materials
  • Communicate regularly with the enrollmentFUEL team
  • Make necessary edits in a timely manner
  • Research current trends and communicate those with the team
  • Collaborate with all involved parties via email, Slack, Microsoft Teams, and/or Basecamp
  • Attend video meetings, as needed
  • Represent enrollmentFUEL in a professional manner in all work-related activities
  • Accurately reflect and portray the mission and core values of enrollmentFUEL

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Portfolio with recent work samples
  • Proven experience as a marketing copywriter, preferably in B2C marketing
  • Able to work autonomously in a fully remote environment
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Advanced knowledge of word processing programs and software
  • Self-sufficient in decision-making skills, and exhibit superior time management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle many tasks at once is essential
