Corporate Communication is seeking a motivated, full-time intern to join our team. In this role, you will support a wide range of internal, external and digital communication efforts tied directly to business priorities and key initiatives. This is a hands-on opportunity for a college sophomore, junior or senior pursuing a degree in journalism, mass communication, marketing or a related field who wants to gain practical experience helping reach key stakeholders across a variety of platforms and channels. We’re looking for someone who is a strong communicator, writer and researcher, and who is eager to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is also interested in using modern tools, including AI, to help deliver smarter, faster and more effective communication.

- Internship based in Omaha, Nebraska, with ability to work up to 40 hours per week based on availability
- Research, write, edit and proofread content across multiple channels, including internal platforms, digital media, print and video
- Support communication initiatives focused on craft workforce recruiting, development and retention
- Develop and optimize content for social media, mobile apps and other digital platforms
- Use AI tools to support communication planning, writing, editing, and research and other content development
- Analyze content performance and audience engagement data to identify opportunities for improvement
- Verify facts, data and messaging accuracy across communication materials
- Assist with special projects and leadership communications as needed
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills
- Good understanding of AP style guidelines
- Demonstrated experience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT or similar) to support writing, editing, research or content creation
- Interest in applying AI to improve communication outcomes and workflows
- Familiarity with social media, digital platforms and content strategies used for recruiting and engagement
- Basic understanding of digital analytics and ability to use data to inform content decisions
- Experience with video content creation
- High attention to detail, organization and accuracy
- Self-starter mindset with a strong willingness to learn and take initiative
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
