POSITION SUMMARY
The Corporate Counsel is responsible for providing legal advice and support across all phases of our
EPC projects, including subcontract and NDA negotiation, claims management, legal research, risk
mitigation, and dispute resolution. The ideal candidate will have experience advising on construction
contracts, preferably in the renewables energy sector. This position works closely with the Assistant
General Counsel to ensure legal strategies align with the overall business objectives.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*:
● Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of construction-related contracts, including but not
limited to non-disclosure agreements, subcontractor agreements, change orders vendor contracts
and procurement agreements.
● Prepare and review contract notices (e.g., delay, change event, force majeure, default) in
alignment with project requirements and contract terms.
● Provide legal guidance and support to project management teams on contract interpretation, risk
management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
● Conduct legal research related to construction law, commercial law, regulatory requirements, and
international jurisdictions.
● Provide advice to project personnel and other employees on various legal issues as requested.
● Manage and resolve claims, disputes, and litigation related to construction delays, defaults,
defects, or contract breaches under the supervision of the Assistant General Counsel.
● Assist in the preparation of claims documentation and support negotiation or settlement of claims
with clients, subcontractors, or suppliers.
● Coordinate with external counsel as necessary for dispute resolution or litigation matters.
● Assists in the management and resolution of construction-related claims as requested.
● Assists the Assistant General Counsel with other legal and risk management matters as
requested.
● Assist in developing and implementing internal policies, procedures, and training to support legal
compliance and contract management best practices.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
● Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active membership in at least one
state bar.
● At least 2 years of experience as a practicing attorney is required with experience supporting
construction projects, including drafting and negotiating agreements and/or handling claims and
litigation.
● Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess legal risks and provide strategic advice to mitigate
them.
● Ability to partner, collaborate, and work well in a team environment.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and
stakeholders.

effectively.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/JOB CONDITIONS:
● Remote
● Occasional travel to Enfield, Connecticut for meetings or to project locations may be required.
● Travel for project assignments may be required based on Company needs.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
