Role Summary:
The Corporate Development Associate plays a critical role in supporting HALA's strategic initiatives. Reporting directly to the Head of Strategy, this position focuses on high-impact analytical work, data assessment, market benchmarking, and providing support across strategy, M&A, and corporate related deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategy & Benchmarking Analysis
Conduct market research and benchmarking against key industry players.
Develop insights from performance data to support strategic planning.
Maintain dashboards and trackers to monitor strategic KPIs.
Assist in sourcing, screening, and evaluating investment and acquisition opportunities.
Perform light financial modeling and develop business cases for internal approval.
2. Corporate Support & Reporting
Prepare\presentations, strategy updates, and other reports.
Summarize complex data and deal analysis into digestible insights.
Maintain internal records and documentation for corporate actions.
3. Data & Research Excellence
Perform structured and unstructured data analysis to inform decisions.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge databases on markets, competitors, and potential targets.
Translate trends and analytics into actionable business recommendations.
4. Cross-functional Collaboration
Partner with teams across finance, operations, product, legal, and strategy.
Support cross-departmental initiatives requiring corporate development insight.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field
2-4 years' experience in an analytical role in a high growth environment such as technology startup/scaleup, strategy consulting, banking.
High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with data tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
Fluency in English; Arabic knowledge is preferred
