JOB SUMMARY

The Corporate Director of Labor Relations is primarily responsible for working with Senior Vice President, Human Resources Operations to provide strategic direction and leadership in Labor Relations practices across the organization. The leader will develop and implement negotiation strategies that align with business objectives while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, internal policies, and procedures. They will drive initiatives to sustain a union work-free environment in non-union locations and oversee matters related to contract interpretation enterprise-wide. Acting as a trusted advisor to property leadership, this role ensures consistent application of company employment practices and adherence to collective bargaining agreements where applicable. Additionally, the leader will play a key role in union negotiations and bargaining, partnering closely with property leaders and external counsel to achieve outcomes that support organizational goals.
Works with the legal department in developing company positions of unfair labor practice complaints with the National Labor Relations Board. Also serves as a resource to management and Team Members for employment and general Human Resources policies and procedures.

HOW YOU WILL CREATE THE EXTRAORDINARY

  • Defend and support employment and disciplinary practices in alignment with collective bargaining agreements, including preparation for legal challenges and representation at grievances or hearings
  • Facilitate union negotiations and collective bargaining, while researching and recommending strategies that reflect evolving work rules, data insights, and technology improvements
  • Maintain deep knowledge of collective bargaining agreements and ensure consistent application of personnel policies and procedures across all properties
  • Provide compliance and documentation support, including employment verification letters, evidence collection, and preparation of information for state agencies regarding unemployment claims
  • Guide and train supervisors and managers on employee relations procedures, company policies, and collective bargaining requirements, while participating in departmental meetings and training initiatives
  • Conduct investigations into employee claims and assist property leaders in implementing employment practices that align with company standards and legal requirements
  • Champion ethical leadership and compliance culture, identifying risks, fostering integrity, and creating an environment where employees feel safe reporting potential violations or misconduct

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Minimum of 4 years of general HR experience and at least 2 years of labor relations experience involving collective bargaining agreements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources , Liberal Arts, or related field (additional 2 years of labor relations experience may substitute for education)
  • Demonstrated expertise in labor management processes, with strong knowledge of union environments and the casino/hospitality industry
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills, with proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and add strategic value in meetings
  • Skilled in team building, problem-solving, and creative solution development to address complex operational and labor-related challenges
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ability to prepare clear, data-driven reports and presentations

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be willing and able to travel to various Caesars Entertainment (CET) locations as business needs require
  • Flexible to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to work from a standing position and/or walking motion for extended period
  • Ability to work in a smoking environment
