Corporate EHS Leader - Istanbul

Our company is a leading multinational production company in Chemical sector, and we are now looking for a Environment, Health and Safety Leader in Global EHS Department

Required Qualifications:

• University degree in Environmental or Chemical, Safety, Mechanical Engineering or relevant equivalent departments
• Preferably 4-6 years of EHS experience in a chemical Industrial, Plants, Warehouse, Field-Costumer Area or Commercial Operations
• Fluent in English and speaking is a must
• Good knowledge of PC and MS Office applications
• C or B class Safety Certificate is preferred
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams
• Ability to work as a self-motivated team member
• Strong problem solving and result orientation skills
• Resident in Istanbul Anatolia or Izmit
• No military obligation for male candidates
• Having a driver's license and being active driving to visit the regional office and its teams
• Ability travel in Turkiye and abroad countries

Job Description:

Environment, Health and Safety Leader is responsible for planning, coordination and control of the Environment, Health and Safety issues in the Türkiye and Israel commercial operations and support to Supply Chain operations. The position is part of EHS MEAIR Region and Global EHS Team.

Key responsibilities are;

• Updating Health and Safety instructions acc. to global and local regulations
• Identifying training needs for global and local procedures and fulfilling these needs
• Preparing legal declarations and report of global EHS KPI’s
• Ensuring health and safety Global EHS guidelines are followed
• EHS support for Türkiye and Israel commercial employees and activities
• EHS support for Israel Yavne Warehouse, Implementation of EHS Warehouse Assessment, support CAPEX project, follow-up Actions
• Auditing, Responsible Care Management at Plant in MEAIR Region.
• Drive Corporate EHS Objectives & Targets implementation and Implement of EHS Management System activities in MEAIR region.
• Drive Corporate EHS programs and EHS Field Safety management implementation and monitor program effectiveness
• Monitor EHS Türkiye regulation related activity in all Türkiye and sub–Region Commercial operations
• Build, organize and deliver training courses, provide coaching to commercial employees
• Organize safety activities for commercial team, i.e. customer site safety inspection and support to Plants, Supply Chain Operations
• Prepare-Implement or improvement of EHS Training, Risk assessments, sales training day, SOP (Standard Operation Procedure), Job Safety Analysis, Job Safety Observations
• Legal requirements compliance of Türkiye operations
• Lead incident / accident reporting and investigations
• Support to safety culture for Türkiye and Israel commercial operations
• Support to implement and improve Global EHS Management program MEAIR Region
