Role Purpose

Lead our company financial reporting efforts culminating in the preparation of financial statements for internal and external use. Oversee financial governance and compliance, as well as working capital management within our company . Lead the development and implementation of financial policies, ensure regulatory and industry standards compliance, and optimize working capital practices to support daily operations and manage liquidity needs effectively.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES


Financial Reporting

  • Manage the preparation of periodic and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable IFRS accounting standards.
  • Oversee the gathering of all relevant data for financial reporting purposes, ensuring comprehensiveness and accuracy of data.
  • Make the necessary adjustments to the financial statements to reconcile differences and discrepancies, and prepare the relevant financial disclosures, footnotes, and supplementary schedules to provide additional context and transparency in financial reporting.
  • Oversee the timely and accurate preparation of periodic management accounting reports, covering the entire operation of our company , and including key metrics.


Financial Governance and Compliance

  • Take charge of establishing, implementing, and updating consistent policies and standards across our company in all finance areas, including accounting policies, standards, and procedures, financial reporting standards, and reporting time intervals.
  • Ensure the adoption of consistent and sustainable technology for accounting and reporting systems across our company and its branches.
  • Develop robust internal control procedures to safeguard financial assets and ensure compliance with policies.
  • Guarantee adherence to local financial regulations and international accounting standards.
  • Collaborate closely with the legal and regulatory affairs teams to promptly address any financial compliance issues.
  • Act as the main point of contact for internal and external auditors.
  • Lead the preparation of IFRS-compliant financial statements, while adhering to the established timelines, and coordinating efforts with our company consolidation team.
  • Proactively respond to regulatory requirements and reporting obligations.
  • Working Capital Management

    • Implement efficient working capital management practices that effectively support our company ’ operations.
    • Ensure the availability of adequate liquidity to sustain our company day-to-day business operations.
    • Oversee the timely and accurate preparation of financial projections for our company short- and medium-term operations.
    • Manage trade credit terms with suppliers and negotiate favourable payment terms that align with the organization's working capital objectives.
    • Collaborate closely with the Operations department to optimize inventory financing strategies and ensure efficient utilization of working capital.
    • Continuously assess and optimize trade credit policies to enhance overall working capital efficiency.
  • Risk Management and Mitigation

    • Develop and implement risk management strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks within the organization.
    • Conduct regular risk assessments and evaluate the effectiveness of existing risk controls and procedures.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish risk mitigation plans and monitor their implementation.
    • Provide guidance and recommendations to senior management on risk management strategies and actions to protect the organization's financial assets.
    • Ensure compliance with risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures.
    • Foster a risk-aware culture within the organization by promoting risk awareness and providing training to employees on risk management practices.


    Continuous Improvement

    • Champion a culture of continuous improvement across all operational units, and continuously seek opportunities for operational enhancements and cost efficiencies.
    • Collaborate with department heads to identify and implement operational efficiencies.
    • Regularly assess processes, procedures, and systems for opportunities to enhance productivity and reduce costs.

    Required


    Knowledge and Experience

    • Minimum of 10 years of extensive experience in financial governance, compliance, and working capital management, with 3-5 years performing senior manager role.
    • Fluent in English
    • Advanced proficiency in SAP ERP


    Education

    • A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required.
