Corporate Lawyer

Role Overview

Axis is seeking a Corporate Lawyer with 3–5 years of experience to manage corporate and commercial legal matters and support the company’s strategic growth. The ideal candidate must have prior experience working at a reputable law firm and preferably experience advising startups or high-growth companies.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts including service agreements, vendor contracts, NDAs, partnership agreements, and other business arrangements.
• Provide legal advice on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
• Support corporate structuring, shareholder agreements, and board documentation.
• Assist in fundraising transactions, investor documentation, and due diligence processes.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks across business operations.
• Develop and maintain internal legal policies and compliance procedures.
• Coordinate with external counsel when necessary.
• Support M&A transactions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships as required.
• Advise internal teams on employment and operational legal matters.
  
  

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB); Master’s degree is a plus.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in corporate/commercial law.
• Mandatory prior experience working at a reputable law firm.
• Strong experience in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Solid understanding of corporate governance and regulatory compliance.
• Preferred: Experience working with or advising startups and high-growth companies.
