Job Overview

Our client, a growing, Tier-1 solar module manufacturer based in the US, is looking to bring on an exceptional Corporate Counsel. This hire will be pivotal in helping the company to navigate an increasingly complex regulatory landscape. This Corporate Counsel role is a full-time, permanent position with our client.

Job Responsibilities:

• Litigation Management: Coordinate and manage outside counsel for any litigation matters, disputes, or regulatory compliance issues.
• Transactional Support: Provide legal guidance and support for forming and managing transactional partnerships.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate legal risks associated with business operations - intellectual property, employment law, data privacy, solar energy policy, and environmental compliance.
• Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and ensure compliance with evolving federal, state and local regulations impacting renewable energy projects.
• Advisory: Utilize legal expertise to provide counsel and problem-solving support to team members
• Contract Negotiation: Draft and negotiate commercial contracts, including but not limited to: power purchase agreements (PPA), master supply agreement (MSA), consulting agreements, non-disclosure agreements (NDA), and other strategic business agreements.

Successful Candidates Must Have:

• Juris Doctor (JD) with membership in California Bar
• At least 5 years of experience practicing corporate law
• Excellent negotiation, organizational, and communication skills
• Strong understanding of energy law, regulatory compliance, and commercial contracts

Compensation & Benefits

• This Corporate Counsel role has a wage of: $180,000 to $200,000 + Bonus
