A leading global alternative asset management firm with office presences around the world and a focus on providing a variety of investment products across multi-strategy, credit, and real estate is looking to bring on a Paralegal to help support the legal team and wider business. As a strategic partner to the various teams across the firm, the legal team is seeking a Paralegal who can aid the global legal team to support the Company's goals and partner with the Compliance team to maintain the company's compliance with the law. The ideal candidate for this position will be based in the New York Metro area, able to be in office 3 days a week and can operate in a lean environment with the ability to work autonomously.
Job Responsibilities

Serve as liaison between internal teams and the legal department to negotiate, review and approve firm contracts with vendors, research providers, counterparties and more

Maintain contract databases

Oversee legal entities - forming, drafting corporate governance documents, maintenance and dissolution

Act as lead coordinator for recurring or special projects

Assist with preparation of materials for quarterly board of directors' meetings for firm's CIMA registered funds.

Coordinate responses to KYC, due diligence, and regulatory compliance inquiries
Qualifications
-
2+ YOE as a Paralegal in the asset management space

Bachelors Degree required

Experience with legal documentation

Strong organizational, time management and oral and written communication skills

Proactive, team player

Comfortable supporting multiple in-house attorneys and various internal departments

Prior experience with legal documentation and/or the asset management industry is required

Ability to be in office on a hybrid basis - 3 days in, 2 days work from home
