Corporate Paralegal (Remote)

Persistent Systems is seeking a Paralegal to join our team. This individual will work directly with our General Counsel a variety of tasks including reviewing and drafting documents and assisting the General Counsel with e-mail correspondence and internal/external meetings. The Paralegal should be capable of working autonomously, after receiving guidance from the General Counsel. The Paralegal should take pride in producing excellent work with few mistakes and should be able to learn from corrected mistakes. The Paralegal will be given opportunities to expand their portfolio of responsibilities by shadowing and learning from the General Counsel.

Position Responsibilities

• Drafting contracts and contract review
• Legal research directed by the General Counsel
• Other tasks as assigned or required

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in legal studies, business administration, finance, or similar field
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• 5+ years of experience as a paralegal
• Strong ability to manage a high volume of contracts with accuracy and efficiency
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to support business teams under tight deadlines
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Strong ability in Word, comparison software, contract management systems, and Excel
• Strong research skills using LexisNexis, Westlaw, or similar tools
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with personnel and to handle confidential information sensitively and discreetly
• Strong organizational skills
• Must have the ability to obtain a United States security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in paralegal studies, business administration, finance or similar field
• paralegal certificate from an ABA approved program
