Divisional Overview

The Corporate Planning & Management (CPM) Division unifies Finance & Planning, Spend Management, Operational Risk and Resilience, and CPM Engineering teams to deliver business planning and analytics, expense management, third party risk management, and governance strategies across the firm. CPM has 5 operating pillars.

Finance & Planning supports the execution of the firm’s strategic objectives through the management of the planning process, firmwide reporting and analytics and insights into the firm’s business plans and budgets. They develop a consistent framework for revenue division projections creating transparency, accountability, and efficiency around projections. This pillar also includes the CF&O, EO, and Engineering divisional CFOs, who are strategic finance advisors helping the firm and the non-revenue divisions achieve commercial financial opportunities. Product Finance is responsible for the overall governance and proactive management of the firm’s non-compensation expenses.

Spend Management encompasses the functions responsible for managing all aspects of the firm's spend with third parties - advising commercial agreements and driving operating efficiency. Departments include Strategic Sourcing, Procure to Pay, Integrated Travel and Expense, Infrastructure and Transformation and Sustainable Operations.

Operational Risk & Resilience drives firmwide Operational Risk programs along with second line teams and implements required changes within CPM. The Corporate Insurance & Advisory team in this pillar identifies, procures, and manages corporate insurance needs for the firm and its investing businesses.

The CPM Engineering team provides engineering solutions that enable the firm to manage third-party spend, data and automation, plan budgets, forecast financial scenarios, allocate expenses and support corporate decision making in-line with the firm’s strategic objectives.

Role Overview

Professionals in CPM have an analytical mindset, exhibit intellectual curiosity and are from diverse academic backgrounds. This role sits within the Spend Management pillar.

The role requires collaboration with different functions across the firm on a regular basis, an ability to work independently, and ability to interact with senior professionals across the firm. It also entails in-depth analysis and reporting for senior management, requiring diligence and a commercial mindset. The candidate is required to work closely with global counterparts and should have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The Sourcing Operations team is a key enabler of the Source-to-Contract (S2C) lifecycle. Our primary objective is to lead the team responsible for digitizing the firm’s commercial commitments efficiently, accurately, and on time. We play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing procurement and sourcing processes to ensure seamless execution of commercial commitments. Through close partnership across procurement, finance, and the broader supply chain, we drive higher sourcing adoption, strengthen preapproval compliance, streamline invoice receipt, and ensure timely, accurate payments. Sourcing Operations oversees day-to-day controls and process optimization, strengthens supplier relationships to reduce inquiries, and uses data to track Sourcing Request, BPO/PO, and lifecycle metrics. We ensure adherence to policies, monitor SLA deviations, escalate risks, and close process gaps for sustained operational stability and performance.

Job Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership and Governance

Lead the Ariba Sourcing Operations team, ensuring consistent delivery against SLAs, SOPs, and quality standards. Develop and execute operational strategies that improve efficiency, productivity, and consistency across regions and time zones. Establish robust governance for documentation, SOP version control, and agile change management.

Service Delivery and Performance Management

Oversee end-to-end daily operations including SR/PR validation, contract operationalization, query and mailbox management, and stakeholder engagement. Monitor throughput, capacity, and team performance; deliver regular metric and KPI dashboards and executive reports. Proactively identify operational gaps; implement corrective actions and drive root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence.

Stakeholder and Client Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders, category teams, suppliers, and Global Services (GS) teams. Translate stakeholder requirements into actionable workstreams; facilitate timely, outcome-focused meetings and communications. Ensure exceptional client experience by adopting best practices and consistently delivering on expectations.

Work Allocation and Control Management

Daily BOD/EOD activities, including work assignment, prioritization, and SLA tracking. Ensure accurate and timely reporting, audit readiness, and compliance with internal controls and policies. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline workflows and enhance service quality.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's / Post Graduation degree, with relevant professional qualifications considered favorably.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing and Category Management, particularly in indirect spend with a preference in corporate services sourcing.
  • Must have strong technical, strategic, and project management skills.
  • Strong foundation in supply chain management, sourcing and procurement, project management, vendor management, legal and contracting, or operational risk management.
  • Strong analytical, presentation skills and bias for using data to make decisions and confirm/set direction with strong attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and ability to interact effectively with Cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work across hierarchies and geographies, with flexible working style.
  • Proactive, enthusiastic, and team-oriented approach
  • Hands on experience on with Sourcing tools including Fieldglass, Ariba, PM Web, etc., preferred.
