Corporate Security and Safety Analyst, Senior

Your Role

The Corporate Security and Safety team is responsible for the safety and security of Blue Shield of CA employees, visitors and property including controlling entry and exit of Blue Shield’s premises, and safeguarding facilities, equipment, materials, and employee property. The Corporate Security and Safety Analyst, Senior will report to the Director, Corporate Security and Safety. In this role you will be responsible for the management and oversight of uniformed guard services across all company locations, with a focus on safety, security, and emergency preparedness.

This position leads onsite emergency response efforts, collaborates with internal and external partners to develop documented guidance, and ensures vendor compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements. The role also maintains accountability for the physical security and general safety of all facilities. Your Work

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and implement BSC's safety and security emergency response training at various BSC sites and includes managing evacuation drills at various BSC sites
  • Meet and collaborate with account managers and vendors on monthly basis or as needed
  • Provide investigative assistance as assigned, primarily in the areas of threat assessments and workplace violence; this includes use of the threat assessment grid and risk mitigation processes and conduct interviews of subjects, witnesses, and victims as required in collaboration with HR
  • Assist with select investigations involving IT Security, Compliance or Privacy if requested
  • Manage day ‑ to ‑ day operations of uniformed guard forces across multiple facilities, ensuring adequate staffing, coverage, and performance at all Enterprise locations
  • Provide strategic oversight and daily management of all uniformed guard forces across multiple company facilities
  • Ensure consistent implementation of security standards, post orders, and operating procedures across all locations
  • Serve as the primary liaison with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure all onsite events are properly communicated to guards and appropriate security measures are implemented in alignment with Company risk tolerance and guidance
  • Ensure regulatory, policy, and industry best practice compliance related to security and workplace safety
  • Manage security vendor contracts, performance metrics, security budgets, staffing models, invoice approval and resource allocation to support operational and strategic objectives
  • Serve as the on ‑ call or escalation point for security incidents and emergencies, coordinating immediate response actions
  • Track and escalate equipment, staffing, or operational gaps that affect security or safety coverage
  • Support business continuity and emergency preparedness efforts during incidents, outages, or major events

Your Knowledge and Experience

  • Requires a college degree or equivalent experience
  • Requires a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience
  • Professional certification in physical security and/or safety (PSP, CPP, ASHM, CSHM) preferred but not required
  • Experience in managing multi-site operations
