Key Job Responsibilities:

Lead the development of a comprehensive institutional innovation strategy that aligns with the authority’s vision and national priorities, through analyzing the current situation, anticipating the future, identifying initiatives, aligning them with strategic objectives, and maximizing institutional impact.

Design and adopt an integrated innovation framework that includes policies, procedures, empowerment tools, and mechanisms to enhance a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the authority.

Review the authority’s current situation by examining the needs of different sectors, identifying policy gaps, and determining the required effects to achieve the desired impact.

Prepare studies to support decision-making in cooperation with relevant departments and employ quantitative and qualitative analysis tools to enhance evidence-based decision-making.

Develop research and analytical indicators through data analysis.

Coordinate and link innovation initiatives with universities, scientific research centers, and the private sector to ensure added value and alignment with strategic goals.

Adopt and direct employee initiatives by creating an enabling innovation environment internally, organizing activities and recurring competitions.

Manage the innovation portfolio by tracking initiatives, developing them, evaluating their impact, and ensuring they achieve development goals and institutional benefit.

Represent the authority in national innovation programs, initiatives, and related events, and participate in building strategic partnerships that contribute to knowledge transfer and institutional capability enhancement.

Oversee the development of institutional innovation governance and link it to the authority’s priorities to ensure ideas are transformed into applicable initiatives that support institutional development and are aligned with strategic objectives.
General Tasks:

Translate the department’s strategy into clear operational plans, ensuring alignment with the general management strategy and the authority’s strategic direction.

Lead the achievement of the department’s operational objectives by setting individual goals, tracking their implementation, and motivating the team toward performance excellence.

Lead talent development initiatives within the department, in coordination with Human Resources, to ensure the availability of qualified and suitable competencies.

Prepare and monitor the implementation of the department’s operational budget and ensure compliance with financial regulations and the specified financial framework.

Oversee the application of institutional policies, procedures, and operational controls for the department, ensuring maximum levels of efficiency and compliance.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives for processes and practices to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and achieve optimal standards.

Oversee the preparation of necessary reports and submissions in a timely manner, in line with management requirements and institutional quality standards.

Perform other duties within the scope of roles and responsibilities that support achieving the departments and authority’s objectives.
Key Skills and Knowledge:
