Duties

Monitor participant behavior through CCTV surveillance systems to ensure safety and compliance with facility protocols
Conduct regular patrols of the facility to maintain security and prevent disturbances or unauthorized activities
Respond promptly to incidents, conflicts, or emergencies, applying conflict management techniques to de-escalate situations
Write detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and disciplinary actions to ensure accurate record-keeping
Enforce rules and regulations by inspecting inmate areas, verifying compliance with safety procedures, and managing inmate movement
Provide first aid or CPR when necessary to assist injured individuals until professional medical help arrives
Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during investigations or external emergencies to uphold security standards

Skills

Proficiency in CCTV operation for continuous monitoring of facility areas
Knowledge of law enforcement procedures and legal standards relevant to correctional environments
Certification in CPR and First Aid to respond effectively during medical emergencies
Experience in security protocols, conflict management, and de-escalation techniques
Strong report writing skills for documenting incidents accurately and clearly
Background in military service or security roles that demonstrate discipline and situational awareness
Ability to handle stressful situations calmly while maintaining authority and professionalism
